Director, Marketing Strategy (SMB Lending/Fintech)

• Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm Eastern Time

• Hybrid Position: 3-days per week onsite, 2-days remote

Background:

National Funding recently introduced its Moneyjet automated lending offering. The product is targeted to the rapidly expanding Small-Medium Business (SMB) marketplace. Moneyjet will capitalize on the growing demand for and expectation of SMB lending products that are “always on,” requiring little-to-no manual intervention.

Position Summary:

This position will serve as the revenue engine for Moneyjet – with the goal of optimizing customers’:

• Loan volume and lifetime value

• Credit line utilization

• Product engagement

• Life-on-the-platform

The role reports into Moneyjet’s President, with a dotted line into National Funding’s Chief Marketing Officer. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to navigate seamlessly across the Moneyjet and National Funding organizations. Critical to the candidate’s success will be their ability to partner with subject matter experts (SMEs), in particular National Funding’s Head of Digital Marketing. In partnering with key SMEs, the candidate will leverage enterprise-level expertise, learnings, research, data, and capabilities.

Key responsibilities:

• Creating Moneyjet’s annual and quarterly marketing plans

• Assessing weekly, monthly, and quarterly product performance and identifying ways to improve results

• Creating a life-stage and needs-based approach to CRM, developing a segmentation scheme

• Developing strategies and executional approaches geared toward:

• Maximizing share of customer "lending wallet"

• Driving line utilization and increasing line sizes to drive originations and profit margin

• Driving LTV, extending life of borrower and "life on platform"

• Developing cross-sell and upsell strategies.

• Driving CSAT and customer engagement

• Executing and maximizing the productivity of key channels including:

• Marketing and customer service email

• Moneyjet's customer portal (enhancing engagement, usage of self-service features, login frequency, content, etc.)

• Product and event-triggered communications

• Partnering with enterprise marketing to improve acquisition funnel performance & leverage customer contact streams

• Identifying ways to evolve Moneyjet’s public website into a key contributor to loan growth and customer engagement

• Identifying opportunities to raise mobile engagement & utilization

Minimum Qualifications:

• 8+ years of marketing experience

• B.S. Degree in Marketing or related field

• MBA preferred but not required

• Lending/Fintech experience a must (SMB experience preferred)

• Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business goals into actionable marketing plans and initiatives.

• Strong quantitative/analytical skills + ability to thrive in a data-driven environment

• Extensive experience in lifecycle marketing and consumer journeys

• Strong track record in email, digital/mobile marketing, and product marketing

• Strong understanding of UI/UX, including funnel conversion/optimization

• Great oral/written presentation abilities

• Experience in product management / product development / customer & user research helpful

• Branding experience helpful

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

• Outstanding collaboration skills

• Flexibility & comfort level with change

• Proficiency with tools such as Figma, Miro, Asana, Jira, Tableau, GA4, SFMC

• Proficiency with SQL helpful
